Optical Bonding Technology Overview
Optical bonding, which we call full bonding, uses glue to fill the entire display area and the surrounding area, and there is no air. Optical bonding is a process that uses a specialized adhesive to bond a TFT LCD screen to a capacitive touch panel, eliminating the air gap between the layers.
Key Benefits of Optical Bonding
Enhanced optical performance
Reduces glare and reflections
Improve sunlight readability (for bright environments)
Improve contrast and clarity
Improve durability
Enhance structural integrity to resist shock/vibration
Protects displays from moisture, dust, and scratches (IP rating seal)
Touch sensitivity
Eliminates parallax for precise touch response
Maintains performance in harsh conditions
Two application scenarios of optical bonding:
1 is the bonding of lens and touch panel
2 is the bonding of lens or (lens + touch panel small assembly) and TFT module

Key Applications
Medical surgical displays, diagnostic equipment (sterile, high-precision requirements)
Automotive dashboards, infotainment systems (shock-resistant, sunlight readable)
Industrial HMI panels, ruggedized equipment (dust/waterproof requirements)
Consumer electronics smartphones, tablets, outdoor kiosks (anti-reflective, durable)
