How to calibrate if the touch screen is not accurate?
Fault phenomenon:
Large size splicing touch screen, touching the part of the display screen with fingers cannot complete the corresponding operation normally
Fault analysis and handling:
This phenomenon may be caused by dust covering the reflective stripes around the touch screen after a period of use. A dry soft cloth can be used to wipe it, then power off, restart the computer, and recalibrate.
A large-sized infrared touch screen can run the screen calibration program in the following situations:
(1) Complete the installation of the driver software for the first time.
(2) After changing the resolution or display mode of the monitor each time.
(3) After changing the display area each time.
(4) After adjusting the frequency of the controller each time.
(5) Every time the cursor does not correspond to the touch point.
After calibration, the calibrated data is stored in the controller's registers, so there is no need to calibrate the screen again after each system startup
If the touch screen is resistive, the following methods can be tried for maintenance:
The first step is to verify whether the connecting wires of the touch screen are properly connected. Special attention should be paid to whether the wire connecting the keyboard port of the host (used to provide 5V working voltage for the touch screen) has been properly connected. Please carefully check the relevant connections.
Meanwhile, it is necessary to observe the status of the indicator lights on the touch screen control box. If the light is not on or shows a red status, it usually means that the control box is damaged. At this point, replacement should be carried out immediately.
If it is confirmed that the situation is not as described above, you can try deleting the touch screen driver, restarting the computer and reinstalling it, or upgrading to a higher version of the driver.
Need to check if there are any conflicts between devices and serial port resources in the host, and resolve them by adjusting various hardware devices. For example, some network cards may have a default IRQ of 3 after installation, which may conflict with the IRQ of COM2. In this case, the IRQ of the network card should be changed to an idle and unused IRQ. Attention should also be paid to the compatibility between the computer motherboard and the touch screen control box. If necessary, the host or motherboard can be replaced.
If some areas of the touch screen cannot be touched after 3-4 years of use, it may be due to damage to the touch screen itself. It is recommended to replace the touch screen. For capacitive touch screens, the following methods can be used for maintenance:
Carefully check if the touch screen connections are properly connected. If using an external box control card, ensure that the control box is connected to the cable extending from the touch screen through a return groove. In addition, the power supply part needs to be connected to the host through a keyboard adapter. Note to unplug the small rubber head next to the RS232 port connector first in order to connect the power cord. Insert a small head of the 5V power supply into the 232 port connection, and at the same time, insert the RS232 connector protruding from the control box into the 9-pin hole of the host.
If the host is using a 25 pin adapter, please purchase a 9-25 adapter for conversion. If the keyboard port of the host is the original machine's small keyboard port, a pair of adapters from the large keyboard to the small keyboard need to be purchased.
